I'm in Berea, Kentucky. I got here last night and ran into a bunch of activists holding a "stop offshore drilling" vigil in recognition of it being the 50th day the oil has been leaking into the Gulf of Mexico. I was already wearing my Power Shift shirt, and when they started singing John Lennon, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to join in. I ended up spending the night in one of the participant's covered backyard--which was great because it started raining around 6AM. Thanks again Landra! Check out their website: moveon.org
The pump on our fuel tank broke so I'm SOL for warm food 'till we reach the next camping/hiking shop (which might not be for another week).
