I stopped in to check out a Tyson chicken factory farm yesterday, and videotaped it. Here’s the video:
To see what conditions are like inside these sheds, here’s a video I did not take:

I became a vegetarian just under a year ago primarily because of the negative impacts that the meat industry has on the environment. Anyone whose taken a biology class knows that eating something that ate a plant food is 90% less efficient than eating the plant food directly. With factory farming, these impacts are significantly amplified. The factory farming industry generates more greenhouse-gas emissions than cars, planes, ships, trucks, and trains in the world combined. You know its illegal to slaughter dead or dying livestock. Your PETA video is not the industry standard.
@Spencer I was really just trying to show the first few seconds, which shows inside the sheds I was filming in person. 24,000 chickens per shed in miserable conditions.
Oh gee… thanks for getting some first hand. I see stuff like this in Food Inc., etc but I’ve never been up to a chicken house myself…
I also don’t understand how you had the reserve not to break in a free all the chickens. I think I would have had to…
